The general skin care mistakes we make
Not wearing sunscreen
Not using sunscreen is one of the most harmful habits than damages your glowing skin. You need to protect your healthy skin from the harmful rays coming from sun, especially when you are spending most of the hours at the beach or outdoors. Wear a protective sunscreen religiously to avoid sunburn, premature skin aging and in some cases, skin cancer.
Scrubbing is a good practice to remove dead skin and reveal younger and clearer looking skin. But sometimes we tend to overdo it, over exfoliating is bad for your healthy skin. A few times a week, maximum two is great, anything more will be damaging to your healthy skin protective barrier.
Using dirty makeup brushes
Clean your makeup brushes at least once a week for better skin care. There is nothing worse than transferring bacteria from dirty makeup brushes to a cleansed face. Wash your brushes using a gentle cleanser or soap with warm water to remove all the oil build up from your makeup.
Not Using Anti-Aging Products
We don’t have to wait until we start seeing the lines before we start thinking anti aging products. Start sooner, early 20`s yeah why not? Remember prevention is the best defense.
Not using products formulated for your skin type
The reason you may not see improved results with your skincare products is that they aren’t suited for your skin’s unique needs. Find out what type of skin a product is formulated for. And if “all skin types” is the answer, proceed with caution. If you’re truly looking for results, it’s imperative that you use products exclusively formulated for the unique needs of your skin.
Not changing your pillow cases
You should change your pillow cases at least once a week. Residue from hair and makeup gets transferred to pillow cases which over time clog pores and causes breakout.
