HCG injections such as Sifasi 5000 injection is used for different reasons in men and women. The injection is used in combination with other fertility medications to increase the likelihood of a woman to get pregnant.

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, commonly known as HCG, is a hormone that supports the normal development of an egg in a woman’s ovary and stimulates the release of the egg during ovulation. An HCG shot helps a woman in causing ovulation and treats infertility issues in women. The injectable medication is believed to increase the probability of producing more healthy eggs from the ovaries. It is also known as the trigger shot used in controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) to trigger ovulation in women with Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). This condition affects a woman’s hormone levels. It is also used to assist with IUI, ICSI, or IVF. While in men or adolescent boys, HCG helps in the production of testosterone and sperm. It is also used for those young boys when their testicles have not dropped into the scrotum normally. A pituitary gland disorder can cause the condition.   

HCG for Fertility

HCG injection is either injected into a muscle like a thigh or buttocks, or it may be injected under the skin. The injection should be used under the supervision of a medical professional. It is important to know which way is the right way for you. Your medical professional will tell you how to prepare and take the shot. Use the injection as prescribed by your medical professional. Do take your HCG shots at regular intervals. It is advised not to take medicine more often than recommended.  

Mix it up

Generally, in an HCG kit, you get bacteriostatic water, a large mixing syringe, a sterile vial, and injection prep pads. You should buy HCG shots only under the supervision of a doctor. It often does not supply in the form of it. Your doctor will instruct on how to use HCG shots or Sifasi 5000 injection and will give you a specific dosing needle and syringe.  The first thing one should do is to read all the instructions provided to you by your doctor. If you have any doubt, please call your doctor, and take advice. You should know where HCG is stored and where it needs to be mixed. Usually, HCG comes in the vial that it will be mixed in, while in other cases, an empty sterile mixing vial is required. The HCG is also available in the powdered form that needs to be reconstituted. It will also likely be in a condensed liquid from. In both cases, sterile water will be needed to dilute and mix appropriately. Take the mixing needle and syringe. Attach if you doctor instructs you to do so.  Open the lid for the HCG and sterile water. If you have the powdered form of HCG, you need to measure about half of the water required in the mixing needle and inject into the HCG. Gently twist until the solution completely dissolved. Now remove the mixture and inject it into an empty mixing vial where you can add the remaining sterile water. Again, gently swirl it.

Precautions

Once the mixture is ready, you can use it as you need for up to 72 hours. Store in a refrigerator, away from light.  You must keep your used needles and syringes in a special sharp container. Avoid self-inject this drug if you do not fully understand how to give the HCG injection. Also, properly dispose of needles and syringes. Women are advised to call their medical professional if you have the signs of a blood clot such as numbness, redness, confusion, tingling in your arms or legs, severe headache, or the extreme dizziness. While taking HCG shots, some women develop ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), especially after the first treatment cycle. OHSS can be a life-threatening condition and occur when the ovaries rapidly swell because they are producing numerous mature follicles which may affect the ovaries to leak fluid into the abdominal cavity. Most cases of OHSS are mild, but some women may experience mild abdominal pain, nausea, or bloating. Frequent sexual interaction, strenuous exercises, intense workout, and lifting heavy things need to be avoided to reduce the risk of damaging those already swollen ovaries.
