Teens are not the only sufferers of acne, many adults also experience this problem. It is called adult acne. You have to understand the adult acne causes to diagnose this skin condition better.
This is a skin disease that infects oil glands of the skin and causes skin spots. As per statistical data, men are affected more than women by this skin condition. It usually influences the face, back, neck and chest area. Acne in adults is mainly caused due to the excess of oil production by the sebum, dead skin cells, clogged pores and bacteria.

• Whiteheads – They remain under the skin and remain limited in small areas.
• Blackheads – Such black patches appear on the surface of the skin. Remember that a blackhead is not caused by dirt. Scrubbing your face vigorously when you see blackheads will not remove them.
• Papules – They look like small bumps (usually pink) and are visible on the surface of the skin.
• Pustules – These patches on the skin are red at their base and usually filled with pus at the top.
• Nobules – Nobules inflict pain and are embedded deep in the skin.
• Cysts – Clearly visible on the surface of the skin, cysts are painful and usually filled with pus. Cysts can easily cause scars after drying off.

There are several factors that can aggravate adult acne as well as invite new acne to develop. Some of these factors include:
• Hormonal change
Androgens hormonal change in the body increases the chances of acne in adults and teenagers. In women, hormonal changes occur during the monthly period, pregnancy and the frequent use of oral contraceptives like progestogen. They can affect sebum production in the skin.
• Certain medications
Drugs containing corticosteroids, androgens or lithium can worsen acne. In some health, a patient has to take certain medicines that affect the normal texture of skin.

You can use beauty products to cover some mild spots on the skin. Non-comedogenic or oil-free products as well as herbal gels and sunscreen creams that are helpful to prevent skin disease.
• Squeezing acne

• Heavy sweating
Heavy sweating or humidity may make acne worse. Acne in adults occurs due to doing regular hot work in kitchens. More sweat has become the reason for blocking pores.
