Graniset contains the active ingredient Granisetron, an antiemetic agent indicated for preventing nausea and vomiting associated with initial and repeat courses of cancer therapy, including high-dose cisplatin. It also effectively treats nausea and vomiting associated with radiation body irradiation and fractionated abdominal radiation. Granisetron works by blocking the action of certain chemicals in the body that can make you feel sick. This medicine will help you recover from treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Graniset 1 mg will not relieve the side effects associated with cancer treatments. It also has some effects on vomiting caused by motion sickness. You should take this medicine in the dose and duration your doctor advises. Do not discontinue treatment without consulting your doctor. If you vomit within an hour of taking medicine, you must take another dose and avoid having heavy meals throughout the day.  

Graniset tablets are contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug or its components. Before taking medicine, tell your doctor if you have heart or liver problems or blockage in your intestines. Also, you must inform your doctor of all the medicines you have been using, including prescription and non-prescription drugs. 

The most common side effects of taking Graniset 1 mg include diarrhoea, constipation, vomiting, nausea, and weakness. Dizziness and sleepiness may also occur; therefore, avoid driving or activities that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. These symptoms should resolve when you discontinue treatment, but if they bother you or do not resolve, your doctor may advise you on preventing or reducing them.
