Mebex 100 mg is prescribed to treat infections caused by worms such as hookworm, pinworm, roundworm, and whipworm. It may be used to treat the infections caused by more than one of the parasites mentioned above at the same time. After taking medicine, your body may take around 3 days to throw out the worms from your intestines and stomach. The duration of the treatment will depend on the susceptibility of the worm to the medicine and how well the digestive system works. Remember that purging, laxatives, and fasting will not help eliminate the worms to take out from the body. Follow the dosage as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Mebendazole is the active ingredient present in Mebex 100 mg. It is an anti-worm or anthelmintic medication to halt the multiplication of newly hatched insect larvae.
