It is an oral anticonvulsant drug that belongs to a class of medications called phenyltriazine, prescribed to treat partial fits, generalized tonic-clonic fits, bipolar disorder. The drug treats seizures effectively; Researchers understand that lamotrigine reduces neuronal activity through a variety of mechanisms. Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological conditions.
