Drotin 40 mg is a prescription medicine used to treat smooth muscle contractions. It contains the active ingredient Drotaverine, which causes relaxation of smooth muscles, thus suppressing pain associated with spasms caused by smooth muscle contraction. The medicine is effective in relieving pain triggered due to headaches, bowel syndrome, menstrual periods, and cervical spasms during labour. Doctors may also prescribe Drotin for chest pain, kidney gallstone pain, and abdominal pain.
Drotin 40 mg can be taken before or after consuming food. The dose and how often you take it to depend on what you take it for.
