Zocon DT 50 mg is a prescription medicine used to treat infections caused by fungi, including yeasts. It stops you from getting a fungal infection. The most common cause of fungal infection is a yeast called Candida. Zocon DT 50 mg contains Fluconazole as the active ingredient, categorized under the class of drugs known as an antifungal. It effectively treats a wide range of fungal infections, including infections of the brains, lungs, heart, mouth, or urinary tract.

This information guide contains important information about the Zocon DT tablet. It is not meant to take the place of a doctor’s prescription.

Take Zocon DT 50 mg before or after consuming food. You can take medicine at any time of the day. The antifungal medication keeps working for several days to treat the infection. In general, the symptoms go away after 24 of taking medicine. However, it may take several days for your symptoms to go completely. If there is no improvement in your condition after a few days, call your doctor. Swallow one tablet to treat your vaginal yeast infection. Some medicines can affect how well Fluconazole tablets work. You must check with your doctor before starting the new medicine within a week of taking Zocon tablets. 

Do not use Fluconazole tablet if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any of the ingredients of the medicine or any other medicines you have used to treat fungal infections.

Do not take Zocon DT if you take certain medicines. They can cause serious health complications. Therefore, it is important to tell your doctor about all the medicines you take, including diabetes, blood thinners, blood pressure drugs, drugs to control seizures, heartburn, bacterial infections, psychiatric illness, tuberculosis, allergies, anti-malarial drugs etc. Before using Fluconazole, you must check with your doctor if you take over-the-counter medications, have liver problems, or have other medical conditions. Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Discuss with your doctor whether the antifungal drug is right for you. Fluconazole can pass into breast milk; breastfeeding mothers should first discuss it with their doctors before using Zocon tablets. Avoid excess alcohol while taking this medicine, as alcohol may worsen the side effects like dizziness if you experience dizziness or fits while taking the medicine.

Zocon DT 50 mg may cause side effects that are usually mild to moderate and resolves within a few days of the treatment. The most common side effects of Fluconazole are dizziness, diarrhoea, headache, stomach pain, dizziness, nausea or upset stomach, or changes in the way food tastes. Allergic reaction to Fluconazole tablets is rare, but they can be life-threatening if not treated by the doctor straight away. Signs of an allergic reaction include shortness of breath, coughing, swelling of the eyelids, mouth, neck, face, throbbing of the ears, wheezing, fever, hives, skin rash, blisters, or skin peeling.
