It is for the topical purpose only. Tazarotene helps to speed up skin renewal as it is a compound formed from vitamin A. The topical medication effectively treats acne in adults and children ages 12 years and older. Dermatologists may also prescribe this gel preparation to treat plaque psoriasis in adults. You may be advised to apply the cream to your skin once daily, in the evening. Tazarotene works by stopping the overgrowth and thickening of skin cells. Apply the formulation on the affected areas and not apply to healthy skin.

You must use this medicine as per doctor’s advice. Do not use it for longer than recommended. The medicine is for topical purpose only. Make sure you apply the formulation to the affected areas of the skin. You must wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying for this medicine. For best results, Tazret gel should be used regularly. Do not apply more than you need to heal your condition faster, and some side effects may be increased. Let your dermatologist know if your condition continues for more than four weeks or gets worse at any time. You can help this medication work better by keeping the affected areas clean.

The dosage of the topical medication will be different for different patients. Follow your dermatologist’s advise when it comes to applying the medication.
