Minoz 100 mg is a prescription treatment for patients with certain infections caused by bacteria; these include respiratory tract infections, skin, urinary tract infections, some sexually transmitted diseases, and others. Your doctor may prescribe other treatments for severe acne. The medicine contains Minocycline which belongs to a class of medications known as a tetracycline class of antibiotics. It is known as a broad-spectrum antibiotic, which may treat bacterial infections such s pneumonia, bronchitis, gonorrhea, infections of the eye, prostate infections, pelvic inflammatory diseases, ear, nose, and throat infections. It is only effective in treating bacterial infections and does not treat viruses.

Take Minoz 100 mg capsules exactly as your doctor tells you. Check with your doctor if you are not sure about the correct dosage of the antibiotic drug. It is always important to take medicine exactly how your doctor advised you for the best results. Be sure to complete the course of treatment even if you feel better. The medicine is available in a capsule that you need to swallow with a glass of water. Taking the capsule with enough liquid may lower your chance of getting irritation or ulcers in your esophagus. Your doctor may ask you to take the capsule before or after consuming food. Skipping doses or not taking the medication may reduce its effectiveness and increase bacteria's chance of developing resistance to the antibiotic medication. In case you take too much of this medicine, call your doctor right away.

Do not take Minoz 100 mg if you are allergic to Minocycline or other tetracycline antibiotics. The antibiotic drug is not is recommended for pregnant women because it may harm an unborn baby. Also, it should not be given to children up to eight years old because it may permanent turns your child’s teeth yellow grey brown during tooth development. Before starting Minocycline capsules, let your doctor know if you have liver problems or kidney diseases and are pregnant or breastfeeding.  Tell your doctor about all medicines, including prescription and non-prescription medicines (vitamins, herbal supplements) you are taking.  Minoz 100 mg and other medicines may interact. Especially let your doctor know if you take birth control pills, penicillin antibiotic medicine, migraine medications, blood thinner medicine, acne medication, antacids that contain calcium, aluminium, magnesium, or iron-containing products.

Minoz 100 capsules may cause serious side effects. Stop antibiotic treatment and call your doctor if you have stomach cramps, blurred vision, rash, fever, joint pain, watery diarrhea, feeling very tired, bloody stools, blurred vision, and unusual headaches. Minocycline may cause centra nervous system effects. The symptoms include dizziness, vertigo, lightheadedness; you should not drive or operate machines if you develop any of these symptoms. People who take Minoz antibiotics may develop sun sensitivity; such people get sunburn with Minocycline. Avoid sun exposure and use sunlamps. Protect your skin when you go out in the sun. Call your doctor and stop the treatment if your skin becomes red.
