Flexura 400 mg is combined with rest, physical therapy, and other measures to relieve discomfort associated with painful musculoskeletal conditions. It contains the active ingredient Metaxalone, which helps to relieve tension, stiffness and rigidity, and inflammation that affects muscles. It improves muscle movement by blocking certain chemical messengers in the brain responsible for muscle problems.
Flexura 400 mg is available as a tablet to be consumed orally with sufficient water. Completely swallow this medicine with water. Do not chew it. The recommended dose for adults is 400 mg three to four times daily; get the prescribed dosage for your condition. Metaxalone shouldn't be given with the meal; ask your doctor for more information. The dose should be changed according to the patient's response, but only under the supervision of your doctor. Consult your physician after a regular time interval of 3 to 4 weeks.
Flexura 400 mg should be administered with great care to patients with pre-existing liver damage. Taking this medicine with food may enhance depression, and elderly patients may be more susceptible to this effect. The product may impair the mental or physical abilities required for hazardous activities such as operating machines or driving motor vehicles, especially when used with alcohol or central nervous system depressants. Metaxalone may increase the effects of alcohol and antidepressants. The safety and effectiveness of the drug in children twelve years of age and below have not been established. The medicine should not be used in women who may become pregnant, particularly during early pregnancy, unless, in the doctor's judgement, the potential benefits outweigh the possible hazards.
The most frequent reactions to Flexura include nausea, vomiting, gas, jaundice, headache, irritability, nervousness, gastrointestinal upset, dizziness, drowsiness, and irritability. Other side effects include jaundice, rash with or without pruritus, and hypersensitivity reaction.
