How to take Tenofovir, Emtricitabine, and Efavirenz tablet?

Viraday/Trustiva tablet uses: Treatment should be initiated by a healthcare specialist experienced in the management of HIV infection. For adults, the suggested dose is one tablet taken orally once daily. If a patient misses a dose of Trustiva or Viraday within 12 hours of the usual time it is taken, he should take the medicine as soon as possible to follow the regular dosing regimen. In cases where the dose is missed by more than twelve hours and the time to take the next dose is near, the patient should avoid taking the missed dose and follow the normal dosing regimen. If the patient vomits within an hour of taking Trustiva, another dose should be taken. If the patient vomits after an hour of consuming this medication, there is no need to take another dose.
Efavirenz/emtricitabine/tenofovir is typically taken on an empty stomach, as food may increase exposure to the medicine and lead to an increased frequency of side effects. Bedtime dosing is usually recommended to improve the tolerability of Efavirenz with respect to unwanted effects on the nervous system. The HIV medication should be administered with caution to elderly patients. For patients with moderate to severe renal insufficiency, it is not recommended.
