Silverex Ionic gel has been used for ages to treat and prevent various burns, wound infections and stitches. Silver contains the Ionic form; Silver Nitrate and ethyl alcohol are the two main active components of Silverex Ionic Gel 240 gm.
It is commonly used as an effective antiseptic lotion to treat burns, cuts and wounds. A great potent antimicrobial property of Silver kills microorganisms instantly. Alcohol prevents the growth and multiplication of microbes on the wounded skin surface. This formulation promotes wound healing faster by reducing inflammation of burns and wounds.Â

Silverex Ionic gel is a topical antiseptic ointment that should be applied 2 to 3 times a day on the affected area for the prescribed period.
Wash your hands before using this ointment. Gently pat dry the affected area with a dry cloth or towel. Depending on the severity of the wound, you can squeeze a small amount of this ointment onto your fingertips and evenly apply a thin film to the affected area. Gently mix it till the ointment is completely absorbed into the skin. Wash your hand after use.
  — Silver Nitrate and ethyl Alcohol gel should be used only on the affected area. If you apply this ointment on your normal skin, it might show some allergic reactions and staining
  — Always consult your doctor before applying this ointment to children. This drug can induce some side effects on tender skin
  — Use Silver Nitrate and Ethyl Alcohol gel only when you are prescribed to use it by your doctor. Use of this ointment in a patient with acute dermatitis or severe skin infection can be risky

Drug Interactions:
Drugs like papain, collagenase, sodium sulfacetamide and mercury are known to interact with the working of Silver Nitrate and Ethyl Alcohol gel.
Silverex Ionic 240 mg has side effects such as edema, rash, itch, hives, infection, facial swelling, lips, tongue, excessive bleeding, burning sensation, skin irritation, acute dermatitis, dry and scaly skin.
