Erlocip 100 mg is used as a first-line and maintenance treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. It contains the active ingredient Erlotinib, which effectively treats patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC who have previously received anticancer treatment like chemotherapy. Doctors may also prescribe this anticancer drug in combination with gemcitabine to treat patients with locally advanced or metastatic pancreatic cancer. Do not use it if you are hypersensitive to the medicine or any other ingredients present in the medicine. Be sure to use it under medical supervision.

Always take Erlocip 100 mg exactly as your doctor has advised you. Check with your doctor if you have any doubts about the drug’s usage. The medicine has been prescribed to you individually, and you should not pass it on to others. It may harm them even if they have similar symptoms. In case of an overdose, consult your doctor as soon as possible. Take Erlocip 100 mg with a glass of water. If you miss more than one dose, please contact your doctor. If you are already using medication to reduce acid in the stomach, take Erlocip two hours before your morning dose or ten hours after the evening dose. You must avoid taking two doses to compensate for the missed dose. The anticancer treatment should continue until disease progression or unwanted effects occurs. Dose modifications will depend on your condition as well as your body’s response to the treatment.

Erlocip 100 mg should be prescribed and managed only by a doctor. It has not been studied in patients with severe liver impairment. Before you use this anticancer medication, speak to your doctor if you have liver problems, kidney disease, gastrointestinal ulcers, lung disease, cataracts, or you smoke tobacco. Avoid pregnancy while receiving this anticancer therapy. If you are a woman of childbearing potential, use adequate contraception during the treatment and for at least two weeks after taking the last dose. If you get pregnant during the treatment, immediately inform your doctor, who will decide if you should continue to take medicine or not. Smoking medicine may reduce the level of Erlotinib in your bloodstream and reduce its effectiveness.

Tell your doctor if you are taking other medications, including prescription and herbal products, because they may speed up or slow down the breakdown of Erlotinib. Such medicines are ketoconazole, fluconazole, erythromycin, clarithromycin, rifampin, norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin, verapamil, diltiazem, and verapamil.
