Methylcobalamin is the primary active ingredient in the drug RejuNuron Injection 1 ml. RejuNuron is also otherwise known as Vitamin B12.
Vitamin B12 is an important dietary supplement that helps and stimulates red blood cell formation. This drug treats pernicious anaemia (causes fatigue, numbness or tingling in the hands and feet). RejuNuron is a synthetic vitamin B12 used to defeat B12 deficiency in the body. Vitamin B12 supports growth, blood formation, cell reproduction, tissue synthesis and protein.
Methylcobalamin is produced in the body by certain resident bacteria. This Vitamin B12 is helpful in the methylation of heavy metals. It regulates the environment inside the body.
Follow the correct dosage prescribed by your doctor. The recommended dosage of this medicine for adults is 1 ml injection daily for at least a week. The dosage can be changed depending on the patient's age. This drug can be used with other medication, but only if your doctor advises. This medication is not recommended for an infant.
RejuNuron is available as an injection to be administered intravenously or intracutaneously. Do not take the injection at the same place every day.
Inform your doctor:
— About the current medication you may take for any existing health disease to avoid fatal complications as the side effect of this injection or drug interaction. Also, don’t forget to state your condition if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
— Anaesthesia can cause hypotension and obstruct the working of this drug if you are scheduled for any surgery.
— Avoid consuming Methylcobalamindrug before taking any laboratory tests. This drug contains some water-soluble content that can raise the serum plasma levels
— This drug can negatively affect the kidneys, heart, and liver if you have renal disorders.
— Avoid the consumption of alcoholic beverages if you are taking this injection.
RejuNuron Injection 1 ml is reported to contraindicate in the following cases:
- People who are allergic to Labetalol
- Patient suffering from obstructive air disease.
- Cardiogenic shock
- Heart block
- Prinzmetal’s angina
- Severe peripheral arterial disease
RejuNuron Injection 1 ml is known to have very mild and severe complications such as dizziness, rashes, orthostatic hypotension, nausea, nasal stuffiness, fatigue, sexual dysfunction, dyspnea, diarrhoea, headache, abdominal pain, scalp tingling, vomiting, vertigo and paraesthesia.
