Januvia 25mg is a diabetes medication prescribed by doctors to lower blood sugar levels. It should be used together with a healthy diet and regular exercise program to control blood sugar levels more effectively. This helps in the prevention of serious complications like renal damage and blindness. Doctors usually prescribe this anti-diabetic agent alone or in combination with other medications to lower blood sugar level. When used in combination, your doctor may suggest Januvia with diet and exercise plus metformin when metformin alone cannot control blood glucose. It can also be used in combination with a sulfonylurea or triple therapy with a sulphonylurea and metformin. Sitagliptin tablets are also prescribed to add to insulin when diet and regular exercise plus insulin alone do not provide adequate glycaemic control.

Do not drive or involve in activities that require you to alert. The medicine should be used carefully in patients with kidney disease. Some patients may need a dose adjustment.  

The most common side effect of Januvia 100 mg is a headache. However, the side effect is mild and resolves with time.
