Usage methods of tretinoin gel

For application, first cleanse your skin with a gentle, non-medicated cleanser. Pat the skin dry completely before applying Flawlizo gel 0.1%. Squeeze out a pea-sized amount for the entire face. Apply gently, avoiding the eyes, nostrils, and the corners of the mouth. Make sure the gel formulation spreads evenly on the entire face. Follow the anti-acne treatment with a non-comedogenic moisturiser to reduce dryness caused by tretinoin. Apply the formulation once nightly, as retinoids increase sun sensitivity. Results generally take 6 to 12 weeks of regular application.
Precautions and warnings with tretinoin gel

Flawlizo Micro gel 0.1% is not recommended for people with sensitive skin. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should not use the tretinoin formulation until advised by a dermatologist. Those with rosacea, eczema and broken skin should avoid using Flawlizo gel. The gel formulation is contraindicated in individuals who are intolerant to tretinoin. Use sunscreen daily, even when not stepping outside, to protect your progress. Do not mix this gel preparation with other exfoliants, such as BHAs, AHAs, or harsh scrubs. Expect initial irritation. During the first 1 to 2 weeks, a user may develop dryness, skin peeling, mild burning, and redness. This is a normal part of the treatment as your skin adjusts. If it becomes severe, reduce frequency to alternate nights if irritation is strong. Do not exceed the recommended dose. For proper use, always follow your dermatologist's instructions. Avoid using certain skincare products unless a dermatologist approves. These products may include benzoyl peroxide, strong exfoliants, vitamin C serums, glycolic acid, and salicylic acid.
Side effects of tretinoin gel

Chemical hot waxing on areas treated with Flawlizo Micro gel may cause extreme redness, burns, and skin lifting. It is recommended not to wax the treated areas for 4 to 6 weeks during use of the gel formulation. Moreover, cold, dry weather may worsen skin dryness. Make sure your skin is well moisturised to avoid irritation.    Â
It is quite normal to experience mild irritation during the initial 2 to 4 weeks. The temporary side effects include redness, itchiness, dryness, mild skin peeling, and purging (a temporary increase in breakouts). Most of these side effects usually resolve on their own within a few days of regular tretinoin application as your skin adjusts to the new medication. If irritation is severe or persistent, don't hesitate to contact your dermatologist.
