Cyclophil Me 50 mg is an oral formulation of Cyclosporine. Cyclosporine, the active substance in Cyclophil Me, is an immune-modulating agent which prolongs allogeneic transplants involving kidney, liver, or transplant. It has been demonstrated to suppress some humoral immunity.

Only health care experts who are experienced in immunosuppressive therapy and managing organ transplant recipients should prescribe this immunosuppressive agent.

Being an immunosuppressant, Cyclosporine may increase the likelihood of getting an infection and developing neoplasia. In liver, kidney, and heart transplant patients, the medicine should be combined with other immunosuppressive agents. The medicine should be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to Cyclosporine or any of the formulation's ingredients. The medicine acts by weakening the immune system to help your body accept the new organ. When conventional therapy is unsuitable, your doctor may prescribe this medicine to treat rheumatoid psoriasis, nephrotic syndrome, and psoriasis. 

The dosage of the medicine should be prescribed by the doctor based on your condition. The medicine is available in the form of a capsule that you can take with or without food. The dose is based on medical condition and response to treatment. Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice during the entire treatment unless your doctor instructs you to do this. Grapefruit juice can increase the risk of developing side effects. For maximum results, use this immunosuppressant agent regularly. It may take up to four months before you get the full effects of the medicine. 

Do not break or open the capsule; swallow it with a glass full of water. In case of accidental overdose, seek immediate medical advice right away.

Do not use Cyclophil Me 50 mg if you are allergic to any ingredient contained within cyclophil Me. Before using the medication, if you are allergic to any food or any other medicine. Also, let your doctor if you have a seizure, cancer, weak immune system, high blood pressure, kidney disease, brain disorders, nerve disease, you are pregnant or are breastfeeding.     

Cyclosporine may cause hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity. The risk increases with increasing doses of this medicine. Renal insufficiency, including structural kidney damage, is a potential consequence of the immunosuppressive agent, and therefore renal function must be monitored during therapy.  Extra caution needs to be taken while taking a Cyclosporine formulation with nephrotoxic drugs. Patients receiving this immunosuppressant drug require frequent monitoring of serum creatinine. Elderly patients are advised to take extra precautions since decreases in kidney function is common with age. If the doses are not adjusted and the condition is not properly monitored, the immunosuppressant therapy can be associated with kidney damage and persistent renal disorder.

Using Cyclophil Me 50 may experience side effects such as drowsiness, stomach pain, skin rash, chest pain, vomiting, irregular heartbeat, headache, swelling of facial parts, pain during urination, mental disorders, liver disorders ringing in ears, and vision changes. If l any of these side effects persist or worsens over time, contact your doctor straight away.
