Bimat LS is an ophthalmic preparation containing Bimatoprost 0.1% to reduce pressure in adults with glaucoma and eye pressure in the eye. The eye drop is one of the most common treatment approaches that lower eye pressure. Build of ocular pressure can damage your eyesight potentially leading to blindness. Bimatoprost ophthalmic solution helps fluid to flow from inside the eye into the blood. Ophthalmologists may prescribe this eye drop in combination with other medicines to reduce ocular pressure. It is a prostamide analogue which is known to reduce pressure within the eye. The eye drop is available on ophthalmologist’s prescription only. The solution should be used once per day to treat ocular hypertension in adults. Do not use more than once daily. This first-line treatment has been widely successful in decreasing intraocular pressure and rarely cause side effects.

Tell your ophthalmologist if you have ever had an allergic reaction to Bimatoprost or other medicinal preparation containing Bimatoprost. You must also tell your eye care specialist of other types of allergies such as food, preservatives, animals, or dyes. The safety and efficacy of Bimat LS 0.1 3 ml solution have not been established in children. If you are a woman and planning to have a baby, ask your health care specialist for advice before giving a try to this ophthalmic preparation. Bimat LS may cause blur vision for a short period; therefore, it is best to avoid driving or use machines that require all your attention. The product is probably safe to use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, there is limited evidence that suggests that the eye drop does not represent a significant risk to the baby. Your ophthalmologist will examine your eyes at regular visits to make sure the ophthalmic solution is working properly. If you develop symptoms such as itching, swelling, redness, and other signs of the eye occur, please check with your ophthalmologist. The eye drops may contain preservatives that may be absorbed by contact lenses and irritate the eye. Therefore, it is important to remove contact lenses before you use the solution  

The most common side effects of Bimat LS 0.1 are eye itching and conjunctival hyperemia. If you get any side effect associated with the use of Bimatoprost ophthalmic solution, talk to your ophthalmologist. This helps to reduce and prevent some serious side effects of the medication. If you have developed blurred vision or other changes in your eyesight even for a shorter duration, avoid driving or involve in a chine works that requires you to be attentive.
