Acnedap gel 5% contains the active ingredient Dapsone, an antibacterial medicine used for the management of acne vulgaris. The common symptoms of acne include pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads. The product is intended for topical use only and should not be used intravaginally. As an antibacterial agent, Dapsone inhibits certain substances necessary for bacterial growth, thereby preventing bacterial multiplication. Moreover, as an anti-inflammatory agent, it reduces inflammation and helps heal pimples.
Usage instructions of Dapsone gel
Use Acnedap gel 5% as prescribed by the dermatologist. The use of Dapsone gel is applicable for adults and children over 12 years of age. Before applying the gel, wash the areas of the skin where you need to apply it with a mild cleanser or soap. The gel should be applied all over the affected area twice daily (once in the morning and once in the evening). Make sure to pat your skin dry with a clean towel gently. Generally, a pea-sized amount is enough to cover the affected area. Rub the gel formulation gently and completely till it gets absorbed into the skin.
