Silodal 4 mg capsule is a prescription treatment for patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. BPH causes enlargement of the prostate gland leading to urinary problems such as difficulty in urination, increased frequency and urges to urinate, weak urine stream, etc. The medicine contains the active ingredient, which belongs to the group of medicines known as alpha-blockers. The class of drugs treats signs and symptoms of BPH by relaxing the muscles in your urinary bladder, urethra, and prostate. Thus, it relieves the symptoms of BPH. 

Silodal 4 mg should be used as instructed by your doctor. Your doctor will determine the right dose and treatment duration based on your condition's severity. Take this medicine with food to avoid the risk of side effects. For better results, prefer taking it at the same time every day. Do not discontinue treatment without your doctor's approval, as your symptoms may reappear.

Silodal 4 mg is not recommended for use if you are allergic to silodosin. It is not recommended for women, children, and adolescents under 18. Before taking Silodal 4 mg, inform your doctor if you have severe liver disease or kidney disorder, are undergoing cataract surgery, or have even felt dizzy or fainted. Mention your current medications, including herbal supplements, as they may interact with Silodosin and cause undesired effects. 

The most common side effects of using Silodal 4 mg are dizziness, blocked or runny nose, diarrhoea, and abnormal ejaculation. Speak to your doctor if these side effects worsen or do not improve.
