Rpigat 10 mg is a prescription medication that helps lower the risk of blood clots and stroke in patients suffering from atrial fibrillation (a medical condition). When a part of the heart does not beat as it should during atrial fibrillation, it causes the formation of blood clots that can travel to the brain or other body parts, resulting in stroke. Rpigat helps minimize the risk of blood clots forming in the lungs and legs of patients who have recently undergone knee or hip replacement surgery. Rpigat contains Rivaroxaban as the main active ingredient, known as a blood thinner or anticoagulant medicine.

A patient with atrial fibrillation is recommended to take a tablet daily with an evening meal. Stopping the medication in between can put your condition at high risk of forming blood clots in other parts of the body or developing a stroke.   

Taking one tablet daily before or after consuming food is recommended for a patient with hip or knee replacement surgery.

Your doctor will decide the right dosage and treatment duration for how long you should take Rpigat tablets. You may be asked to discontinue taking Rpigat before surgery or dental procedures.   

Do not take Rivaroxaban 10 mg tablets if you suffer from certain abnormal bleeding or have kidney issues or any other medical condition. Avoid taking Rpigat if you are allergic to Rivaroxaban or other ingredients. Inform your healthcare provider about your pregnancy status or if you are planning to conceive. Caution while taking other medications with Rivaroxaban these include ritonavir, indinavir, lopinavir, itraconazole, phenytoin, phenobarbital, rifampin, ketoconazole, carbamazepine, and St. John’s wort. It is not known if Rivaroxaban is safe and effective in children, so do consult your child's pediatrician before giving Rpigat to your child.  

The most commonly reported and associated side effects of Rpigat 10 mg medicine include bleeding more easily than normal, for example, bruising and nosebleeds. Seek medical help if you experience any unusual symptoms.
