Rivaflo helps to prevent and treat the formation of clots in the deep veins. It prevents the formation of a blood clot in your brain, lungs, legs, heart, and veins. The medicine can also prevent blood clots from forming after hip or knee replacement surgery. Rivaflo effectively treats blood clots in the deep vein of the lungs and prevents pulmonary embolism, which is defined as a blockage in one of the pulmonary arteries in your lungs. The medicine contains the active ingredient Rivaroxaban, an anticoagulant that reduces the formation of blood clots. Rivaroxaban helps prevent severe blood clots from forming after atrial fibrillation (a definite irregular heartbeat)/or hip replacement. Talk to your doctor before using this anticoagulant drug.

Rivaflo is a prescription treatment and should be used under a doctor’s supervision. One needs to follow the directions given by the doctor. Doses may vary for different patients. Take the dose exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Generally, the anticoagulant drug can be taken before or after consuming food. Do not take more doses without asking your doctor. Some side effects of Rivaflo 15 mg are bleeding, nausea, headache, itching sensation, prolonged or heavy bleeding, itching sensation, unusual weakness or fatigue, dizziness, abnormal bleeding from the gums. Most of these side effects resolve within a few days of resuming the treatment.
