Ramipres 1.25 mg is a prescription treatment for hypertension. It may be prescribed as a monotherapy or in combination with thiazide diuretics. It is given to patients in whom treatment with a diuretic was found ineffective or associated with unwanted effects. The medicine can also be prescribed initially in patients whose diuretics should not be used in patients with medical conditions. These medications frequently cause serious side effects. The safety and effectiveness of concurrent use of Ramipres 1.25 mg with antihypertensive agents have not been established.

These include medicines for cancer, pain and inflammation, heart failure in adults, heart rhythm, diabetes, diarrhea, diuretics, and to lower uric acid in your blood.

A persistent cough usually disappears only after discontinuation of the drug or lowering the dose has been reported.

After you begin this heart and blood pressure medicine, it is important to inform your doctor about any unexplained symptoms you might experience. The common side effects of Ramipril include coughing, abdominal pain, flu-like symptoms, rash, itching, fever, itching, viral-like symptoms, loss of appetite, nausea, jaundice, or fatigue. Most of these symptoms disappears once your system gets used to this heart & blood pressure medicine. If any of these persists for a longer duration, speak to your doctor.
