Olmezest AM 5 40mg combines Olmesartan and Amlodipine, two active ingredients known to lower blood pressure in hypertensive patients. Together, these components relax the heart muscles and blood vessels, promoting smooth blood flow throughout your body. Thus, making it easier for your heart to pump blood more efficiently. You may receive this antihypertensive drug either alone or together with other medicines. Optimal blood pressure levels help prevent kidney disease/damage, stroke, or heart complications. Take this medicine under the doctor supervision, usually once daily.

The starting dose is usually Olmezest AM 5/40 mg once daily. It is not recommended for use in children. Talk to your doctor to know the correct dose and duration of the treatment for yourself. Stick to the dosing regimen recommended by your doctor. Follow all the instructions carefully to get maximum benefits. If you have swallowed too many pills, contact your doctor right away. You may experience signs of an overdose, including symptoms of low blood sugar such as weakness, palpitations, confusion, double vision, trembling, and sweating. Please speak to your doctor before you stop the treatment and follow their advice.

Discontinue Olmezest AM and consult your doctor immediately if you experience serious side effects such as:

• Allergic reactions like skin rash, difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat  
• Symptoms of low blood sugar level include weakness, palpitations, headache, sleep disorders, agitation, trouble seeing or speaking, angina, numbness, dizziness, drowsiness, loss of consciousness, etc.
• Signs of severe hypersensitivity reactions, initially a patient may experience flu-like symptoms and a rash with a high temperature.
• Liver impairment, including hepatitis or liver failure causing loss of appetite, weakness, weight loss, fever, fatigue, and jaundice

Tell your doctor right away if any of the above applies to you. Also, it is advised to avoid this drug if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or hypersensitive to other ingredients. 

Olmezest AM 5/40 mg shows side effects like sleepiness, headache, nausea, upset stomach, dizziness, swelling of hands, feet and legs.
