Lotensyl 10 mg is a prescription medicine mainly prescribed to manage high blood pressure (hypertension). Each film-coated tablet contains 10 mg of Lercanidipine hydrochloride, which is a calcium channel blocker. The class of medicine works by relaxing and widening blood vessels, allowing steady, unimpeded blood flow, helping lower blood pressure and reducing the workload on the heart.
Maintaining adequate blood pressure levels is crucial as it significantly reduces the risk of hypertension-associated complications such as kidney damage, stroke, and other cardiovascular issues. Lotensyl is a well-tolerated and effective hypertensive agent, specifically formulated to help individuals maintain optimal blood pressure, which further supports long-term heart health. It is extremely important to follow your healthcare specialist's advice to achieve the best outcomes from this treatment. Consistent use as advised by the healthcare professional can help maintain high blood pressure for the long term, thereby improving overall health.
Lercanidipine may be used as monotherapy or combined with other blood pressure medicines, depending on the individual's blood pressure targets and medical history. As with other antihypertensive agents, lercanidipine must be used strictly under the supervision of a healthcare professional, with the dosage adjusted based on the patient's condition, response, and overall health. Lotensyl 10 mg tablets effectively support long-term blood pressure management and heart health. For best results, it should be used as a part of a treatment plan that includes a healthy diet, regular exercise, and healthy lifestyle changes. Also, regular blood pressure monitoring and adherence to dosage instructions are important for obtaining the best outcomes.Â
Â

Rarely you may experience angina pectoris (chest pain due to lack of blood in your heart), a drop in blood pressure, and allergic reactions (symptoms such as rash, hives, and itching). If you suffer from pre-existing angina pectoris, with the group of medicines to which Lercanidipine belongs, you may experience increased frequency, duration or severity of these attacks. Talk to your doctor if you get any side effects while taking Lotensyl 20 mg. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this medication guide. Â
