Each gram of this topical formulation contains the active ingredient Ciclopirox olamine, which treats fungal skin and nail infections by stopping the growth of fungi, thus treating the infection. This helps relieve various symptoms, such as itching and pain, caused by the infection and speeds up the healing process. Once you start the medicine, you should keep using it for as long as it is prescribed, even if your symptoms have gone. This will prevent the infection from returning. Using the prescribed medicine may help you feel more comfortable with your skin.
Fungal infections
Cwin cream has the active ingredient Ciclopirox, which kills various fungi responsible for causing nail infections. It is easy to apply and has very few side effects. Using this medicine will restore your toenail to a healthy condition, but the process takes time, as healthy nails take a long time to grow. You should keep using it until healthy nails have grown back. This helps prevent the infection from returning. Do not use nail varnish on the nails that you are treating.
Cwin is for topical purposes only. If someone accidentally swallows some of this medication, immediately contact your doctor. Try not to get Ciclopirox formulation on any skin other than the skin around the treated nails. If you get some of this product on other parts of your skin, rinse it with mild soap and water as soon as possible. If the formulation has dried on your skin, gently rub alcohol to remove it, and then rinse with water. Do not apply the cream on the eyes, nose, mouth, or vagina. Rinse with water immediately if you get this medication in your eyes or any other mucus membrane. Removal of the loose and infected nail is recommended to get the best results.Â
Cwin cream is contraindicated in individuals who have shown hypersensitivity to its ingredients. If a reaction suggesting sensitivity or chemical irritation should occur with Cwin cream, treatment should be discontinued, and appropriate therapy should be instituted. Â Â Â
Finish the course when using the medication for fungal infections for the full treatment time even though symptoms may have improved, and notify your doctor if there is no improvement after four weeks. A transient burning sensation may be felt. Inform your doctor immediately if the application area shows increased irritation, itching, burning, blistering, and swelling. Avoid occlusive dressings. Do not use this product for any disorder other than the prescribed one. Â
Before using this topical product, let your doctor know if you are:
  — Pregnant or breastfeeding a baby
  — Diabetic who requires insulin injections or has diabetic neuropathy
  — Need medicine to control epilepsy
  — Use steroid inhalers regularly
  — Use the required topical corticosteroids every month
  — Immunocompromised (are HIV positive or received an organ transplant)
  — Have a history of immunosuppression
The safety and effectiveness of pediatric patients below the age of ten years have not been established. Â
The most common side effects of Cwin cream include itching, redness, or stinging sensation at the application site. They are not usually serious and often disappear with time. If they bother you or do not go away, inform your doctor.
