Budecort Rotacaps 400 mcg is given to treat asthma attacks. It is a potent corticosteroid that avoids the problem symptoms of asthma such as shortness of breathing, wheezing, and coughing. This medicine is available in a Rotacaps dosage form. This dosage form offers minimal side effects as the active ingredient directly acts at the target site. It reaches the lungs and produces its effect. It helps in clearing the airway passage and prevents the symptoms of asthma. This drug is fast-acting and has a rapid onset of action. There are fewer serious and harmful side effects with this dosage form. This medicine directly goes into the airways and lungs and produces its effect. It prevents the signs and symptoms of asthma. It contains Budesonide which has anti-inflammatory action and acts on the inflamed airways. Budesonide reduces inflammation by scavenging harmful mediators of inflammation and causes narrowing of the airways. Budecort Rotacaps are contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Budesonide or excipients. It should not be used in the primary treatment of status asthmaticus or other acute asthma episodes where intensive measures are needed.   

Do not swallow Budecort Rotacaps. This is intended to be taken by inhalation only, using your Rotahaler. The leaflet is given in which full information about the drug and its apt way of using it is written. Just go through once and then take medicine. Talk to your doctor if you have doubts about the drug and its usage. Always use a clean and dirt-free mouthpiece.  Take the Rotacaps and insert the capsule in the Rotahaler by keeping it upright. Change the upright position to a horizontal position by keeping the white spot up and the lighter-coloured end in different directions. This leads to the opening of the capsule shell. Then, gently breathe out and seal your lips around the mouthpiece. Take a full deep breath in your mouth and hold your breath for up to ten seconds. Afterwards, take a normal breath and throw away the empty capsule shell. Reorganize the Rotahaler and repeat the procedure prescribed. The most common side effects of Budecort Rotacaps 400 mcg are throat irritation, trouble swallowing, and fungal infections in the mouth or throat. If you develop any of these, do not discontinue treatment, but do talk to your doctor. You can prevent irritation in the throat by rinsing your mouth and throat with water or brushing your teeth after using the inhaler.
