Description of the drug
Yaz is a combined oral contraceptive medicine containing the synthetic progestogen, Drospirenone and the synthetic estrogen, Ethinylestradiol. Each film coated Yaz tablet contains 3 mg of Drospirenone and 0.02 mg of Ethinylestradiol.
Indications and Usage
Yaz is a progestin/estrogen combined oral contraceptive, indicated for use by women to:

Warnings and precautions
The use of combined oral contraceptive increases the risk of venous thromboembolism. Stop Yaz if an arterial or venous thrombotic event occurs.
