Want your Driver’s License, for no legitimate reason
Yet again, they are demanding I send them a photo if my driver’s license in order to accept my credit card. They tell me each time “this is a one time request,” but it’s not. I want to use the exact same credit card and ship to the exact same address, and it’s my billing address, as last time. I refused to provide it last time too, but then they took the credit card anyway. There is no good business reason for me to give them a of my drivers license. They do not need that information, and no one should be giving that out especially to unknown third parties in a foreign country. They can see the shipping address is also my billing address, so it’s definitely me ordering and receiving the product. If someone is using my credit card, they can also take a of my license and send it, so there is no benefit to them other than having access to more of my personal information than they have a right to. Are they really telling me they have access to my State DMV database to check it’s a valid license? But someone else could have my license and send them the just as they could have my credit card (their stated fear), after all I keep them both in the same wallet so if it’s stolen the thief has it all. Like a thief would bother to order generic Latisse for $15! There’s no legitimate reason for them to ask for my license. Don’t do it!
