Ibuprofen is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory agent that relieves the inflammatory symptoms like:

How it works?

Ibuprofen is a selective COX 2 (cyclooxygenase 2) enzyme inhibitor. It selectively gets bind to the enzyme receptor and stops the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandin (PG’s) which is the precursors of inflammatory mediators. Prostaglandins are the chemicals that produce inflammatory response like pain, fever, swelling and tenderness. Ibuprofen stops the inflammation and gives symptomatic relief.
