Glez 5 mg contains the active ingredient Glipizide, an oral blood-glucose-lowering drug of the sulfonylurea class. It is effective in treating type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. Gastrointestinal are the most common infections. Gastrointestinal complaints reported using Glez include nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, and gastralgia.

 Allergic skin reactions, including urticaria, erythema, pruritus, and eczema, have been reported in about in severity patients. These may disappear despite continued use of Glipizide, but the treatment should be discontinued if the skin reaction persists. Dizziness, headache, and drowsiness have been reported in some patients treated with Glipizide. Glez can also sometimes cause low blood glucose levels.
