Flucort 0.025% (20gm) contains Fluocinolone acetonide cream, a topical steroid used for the reduction of inflammation, redness, itching, dryness, irritation, and discomfort associated with skin-related conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis.

Fluocinolone inhibits the function of certain natural substances that cause skin inflammation and other symptoms. Thus, improving inflammation and symptoms such as redness and itching. When used correctly, it is a safe and effective therapy. In treating psoriasis, regular application of Flucort reduces the itchy, scaly patches that may develop on the scalp, knees, elbows, and other body parts. When used for eczema and dermatitis, it reduces the pain, rashes, and itching associated with the condition.

Wash and clean the affected area of your body thoroughly before applying the cream. Squeeze a small amount of cream onto your fingertips, apply it to the affected area in a thin film, and rub gently. Do not cover or use a bandage without consulting your doctor. If your doctor advises you to cover the affected area with a bandage, please, follow your doctor’s advice. In severe cases of eczema, it is advisable to use an occlusive dressing as an anti-microbial therapy. For best results, use the product as prescribed by your healthcare provider. Do not apply more or less than the prescribed amount. Avoid applying the product around your eyes, nose and mouth. When applying the medication on hair sites, make a partition to allow direct contact with the affected area. Wash hands before and after the application of Flucort cream.

This drug is not advisable in the area where there is already a sore or a wound. Before using Flucort ointment, let your dermatologist know if you have any skin infections or are using any other topical medication. Fluocinolone acetonide should not be used if you suffer from any skin condition. Caution should be advised when used in children. Patients may experience local site reactions like burning, itching, dryness, and irritation.

Using the medicine may cause burning, sensation, redness, sensation, irritation, and swelling at the application site. These are temporary and usually disappear within a few days. However, let your doctor know if they become troublesome or persist longer.
