Retino A Micro gel is a topical medicine prescribed to treat acne. It contains the active ingredient Tretinoin, which belongs to a class of drugs known as retinoids. Tretinoin is a form of vitamin A  that loosen and unclog skin pores on the skin’s surface. It is unknown if Retino A gel is safe and effective in treating other conditions. So, it is important to use it under the supervision of a doctor. It is not known if Retin A Micro gel is safe and effective to use in children under 12 years of age.

Use Retino A micro gel exactly as your doctor tells you to. Your dermatologist may change your dose if you develop skin irritation. Before applying the gel, wash the affected skin area with a mild, non-medicated soap or cleanser. Make sure you apply the product a clean and dry skin.

Apply the gel formulation once daily in the evening or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use more than you need to cover the affected area, and do not apply the gel more than once a day. You may feel warmth or slightly stinging after applying Retin A gel.

You may use moisturizers and cosmetics with Tretinoin gel. Initially, during the treatment, you may get new pimples. At this point, it is important to continue using Retin A Micro gel. Your acne may get better right away.

Before using Retino Micro gel 0.1%, let your doctor know of all the medical conditions, including if you:

  • Have a sunburn. You should not use a Tretinoin formulation until your skin gets healed.
  • Have a skin condition called eczema
  • Have any other skin conditions.

Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take, including prescription, non-prescription drugs, vitamins, herbal products, and skincare products. Especially, make sure your doctor knows of all other medicines to treat acne, including medicated cleansers or soaps. Using other topical acne products may increase the irritation of your skin when used with Retino A Micro cream. Your acne may not get better right away. Use the product even after your acne improves. Your acne may get better after two weeks of regularly applying the gel. Avoid contact with the peel of limes while using Retin A gel. Cold weather and wind may irritate skin that is treated with tretinoin gel. Discuss with your dermatologist the ways to manage skin irritation.

Like all medicines, Retin A micro gel 15 gm can cause side effects such as itching, dry skin, redness, stinging sensation, and burning of the skin. Most of these side effects are mild, do not require medical attention, and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects become troublesome or worsen, please consult your doctor.
