US Brand Name Flagyl Gel
Strength 30 gm
Generic Name Urea, Metronidazole
Manufacturer Orva Pharma, Turkey

Roza gel 30 gm is a prescription treatment for patients with rosacea. Patients with dry or sensitive skin may prefer using this cream. It is effective in reducing the inflammatory lesions of rosacea. It contains an antibacterial ingredient called Metronidazole, which reduces inflammation and kills bacteria. It doesn't treat viral infections and should not be used against vaginal yeast infections.

Roza Gel is applied topically on the skin. Wash your hand and the affected area before the application. Dry the skin using a soft towel, apply a thin film over the affected area and gently rub it into the inflamed skin well. Patients may use cosmetics after the application of Roza and the medicine has dried. Results should be expected in about three weeks, with continuous improvement through nine weeks of topical therapy. Do not use this medicine in or near the eyes. If this topical medicine gets into your eyes, rinse them with water immediately. If your eyes burn or are painful, check with your dermatologist.

Roza Gel should not be used in patients who have shown hypersensitivity to any of the components present in the formulation. Before using metronidazole gel, speak to your dermatologist if you are allergic to this medicine or its ingredients. Avoid taking this medicine if you have a history of blood disorder, are pregnant, or are nursing. Avoid excessive sun exposure to sun, including sunlamps and tanning booths.

Patients may develop irritation during the treatment; your dermatologist may advise you to discontinue treatment temporarily or take the medicine less frequently. Medicines that may interact with Metronidazole include warfarin, coumarin, other imidazole preparations such as tioconazole, clotrimazole, and possibly alcohol.

Like any other prescription medicine, Roza gel can cause side effects. Some common side effects of Metronidazole were skin hypersensitivity, burning/stinging, skin redness, dry skin, irritation, itching, and worsening of rosacea. Uncommon side effects were eye irritation, skin peeling, facial swelling, rash, hives, dermatitis, skin pain, inflammation, and tightness. These are not all the side effects of Roza gel. For any expected side effects while using Roza gel, speak to your dermatologist.
