Rivamer 3 mg is an effective remedy for adult patients with mild to moderately severe Alzheimer’s dementia, a progressive mental health disorder that gradually affects memory, behaviour, and intellectual ability. It is available in the form of capsules for oral administration. Each capsule contains Rivastigmine, which belongs to a class of medications known as cholinesterase inhibitors. The active ingredient acts by blocking certain enzymes that break down acetylcholine. By blocking the action of these enzymes, Rivamer increases the levels of acetylcholine in the brain, thereby reducing the symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia associated with Parkinson’s disease. In patients with Alzheimer’s dementia, certain nerve cells die in the brain resulting in low levels of neurotransmitters acetylcholine.

Take Rivamer 3 mg the same way your doctor tells you to use it. You must check with your doctor if you have any doubts about the usage instructions. Your doctor will tell you what dose of Rivamer pills to take. In general, treatment usually starts with a low dose. Your doctor will gradually increase the dose depending on how you respond to the treatment. To benefit from your medicine, take it every day. Take Rivastigmine twice daily as per your doctor’s recommendations. If you accidentally take Rivamer tablets, then you should inform your doctor. In such a case, you may need immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an overdose include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, hallucinations, and blood pressure. Some people may also experience fainting and a slow heartbeat.

Talk to your doctor before using Rivamer 3 mg if you have ever had an irregular or slow heartbeat, an active stomach ulcer, difficulties in passing urine, seizures, asthma, severe respiratory disease, low body weight, trembling, gastrointestinal reactions, and impaired liver functions. If any of these conditions apply to you, your doctor may need to monitor you more closely while taking this medication. There is no relevant use of Rivamer 3 mg in the paediatric population to treat Alzheimer’s disease. Let your doctor know if you are taking any medication other than this Alzheimer's drug. Your doctor will tell you whether your illness allows you to drive vehicles and indulge in machinery work. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, speak to your doctor for advice before taking medicine. If you are pregnant, the benefits of using Rivastigmine must be assessed against the possible effects on your fetus. The medicine should not be used during pregnancy unless necessary.
