Candid B cream is a prescription medicine for dermatological use. It effectively treats fungal infections of the feet, groin, and body in people 17 years age and older. The topical formulation contains clotrimazole, an antifungal agent, and betamethasone, a synthetic corticosteroid. Both the active ingredients work together to reduce inflamed skin and symptoms of redness and itching.

Use Candid B cream exactly as your doctor has prescribed you. Be sure to use it for the recommended period, even if your symptoms improve. Do not use more than the recommended amount of this topical formulation in one week. The treated area should not be bandaged or wrapped with clothing. Wear loose-fitting clothes during the treatment. Do not use Candid B cream to treat fungal infection of the face or armpit.

To treat fungal infections of the groin and body:

• Apply a thin layer of cream to cover the entire affected area twice daily for 7 days.
• You should inform your doctor if your fungal infection does not improve after 7 days of treatment.
• Follow your doctor advice when it comes to using Candid B cream for fungal infections of the groin and body. Usually, it is not recommended to use the cream for longer than two weeks.

To treat fungal infections of the feet:

• Apply a thin layer of formulation to the affected skin area twice a day for 14 days.

Let your doctor know if the treated area will not improve after seven days of treatment. Do not use the combination drug for longer than 4 weeks.  Be sure to wash your hands after applying the cream.

If you have psoriasis, please tell your doctor as it is important to review your treatment regularly. Discuss with your doctor if your psoriasis worsens or you get raised bumps filled with pus under the skin. Tell your doctor right away if your child develops vision issues such as blurred vision or other visual disturbances. If you use more than the recommended amount of cream or use it for a prolonged period without your doctor’s consent, you may have severe health complications. Excessively use of clotrimazole and betamethasone can affect the levels of certain hormones in the body, particularly in infants and children.

Candid B cream containing clotrimazole and betamethasone can pass through your skin. Too much of this combination preparation passing through your skin can cause our adrenal to stop functioning. Your doctor may conduct a blood test to check for adrenal gland problems. Topical corticosteroids may make you more likely to develop cataracts and glaucoma. You should inform your doctor if you develop vision problems during the topical treatment. Candid B cream's most common side effects include rash, tingling, swelling, burning sensation, and infections. If any of these side effects become serious or persist for a longer duration, please speak to your doctor.
