Ropark 2 mg is a prescription medicine containing Ropinirole that is used to treat Parkinson’s disease. People with Parkinson’s disease have low levels of dopamine in some parts of their brains.  Ropinirole acts like dopamine, a natural substance in the brain that reduces the symptoms of this brain disorder. As the disease progress, it leads to shaking, stiffness, difficulty walking, balance, and coordination. Ropinirole is also effective against moderate to severe idiopathic restless legs syndrome. Patients suffering from this condition often have difficulty sleeping or severe discomfort in their legs or arms. Restless legs syndrome is a condition defined by an irresistible urge to move the legs and occasionally the arms. The condition is usually accompanied by uncomfortable sensations such as burning, tingling, or prickling. A patient may experience it during periods of rest or inactivity such as sitting or lying down, especially in bed, or worse, in the evening or night. Ropark 2 mg provide relief by reducing the urge to move the limbs and disrupt nighttime sleep.

Take Ropark 2 mg exactly as your doctor has instructed you. You must check with your doctor if you have any doubt about the drug’s usage.  You may be given Ropinirole tablets to treat the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease or Restless legs syndrome. Your doctor may ask you to take Ropark in combination with other medicine called Levodopa. The anti-parkinsonian drug is not suitable for people under 18 years of age.

• You are pregnant, breastfeeding
• You are under 18 years of age

Most people who take Ropark 2 mg tablets tolerate it well. The most common side effects in people taking Ropark for restless legs syndrome are nausea, vomiting, sleepiness, drowsiness, dizziness. You should be careful until you know if Ropinirole affects your ability to remain alert while doing normal daily activities. It is possible that you could fall asleep while doing activities that require your full attention, such as driving a car, doing physical tasks, or indulging in hazardous machinery. Your chances of falling asleep are even greater if you are taking other medicines that cause drowsiness. While receiving Ropinirole you may feel nauseous, faint after standing up from a standing or lying position. Therefore, do not stand up quickly if you have been sitting down for a long period. Hallucinations have been reported in patients taking Ropark tablets.
